Collaborated with global + domestic marketing, product development + sales managers on all branding + marketing communications projects, including ad campaigns, website, media planning, retail programs, + events. Responsible for the development + execution of O’Neill’s global branding strategy and corporate look & feel.

Developed national ad campaigns + catalogs. Directed photo shoots, created budgets, supervised casting, scouted locations, edited photos, designed +produced layouts. Managed small creative team. Accounts: La Blanca Swimwear, Fashion Island Newport Beach, Century City Shopping Center, Clothestime, Cosmar Cosmetics, Body Drama, Horizon Furniture.

8/89 – 2/92 Surfing Magazine, San Clemente, CA. Promotions Art Director.
Designed editorial, advertising + event promotions, media kits, direct mail + ads for this sport + lifestyle publication.

Several Addy’s, Print Magazine Design Annual, Logo Lounge 2, 3 and 4, SIMA Nominee. First Place in Art Institute’s student Illustration/Design show. Interviewed on NPR’s Marketplace.

You made me the designer I am and will be missed almost as much as my 3M spray-mount adhesive, hot wax machine, , x-acto knife, compugraphic typesetter, letroset rubdown type, t-square and triangle, rapidograph pen, my stand-up 60″ artist drawing table and the stat-machine and all it’s toxic (where the hell is that intern?) chemical stench and mess.”
